Adding Kajabi forms to a WordPress website is pretty easy BUT customizing that opt-in form so that it looks good on WordPress is not. If you’re wondering how to customize a Kajabi form and don’t want to mess around with plugins or Zapier, this post is for you.

If you’re hosting your online course(s) and sending emails in Kajabi but keeping your website in WordPress, the most common form type you’ll need to embed is a newsletter opt-in or lead magnet form.

You’ll first need to create this form in Kajabi in ‘Forms’ under the ‘Marketing’ tab. Once you create the form, you may notice that unlike in ConvertKit or other email marketing systems, you can’t see the form you’re creating in order to customize it.

Instead you’ll see super easy options for triggering actions upon the form’s submission. The automations feature is great!

To customize the form, head to Embed.

Under the Embed tab, you’ll be able to change the button text and to edit the button color. My suggestion for WordPress, is that you delete the title and subtitle and instead add that text in your WordPress builder. This way, the majority of your styling will be done in WordPress where you have more options.

*If* you’ll be using the form in a Kajabi page, that page’s template will style the form. This is why the customization options are limited within the Kajabi form builder itself. For the most part, it’s not needed if you’re using a Kajabi website.
