If you’re in a bind and can’t figure out how to embed MailChimp opt-in embedded in WordPress, then this post is for you.
Of course, the easiest way to add a MailChimp opt-in is just to grab the link and add it to the page or a button, BUT then it’s not right on the page and you’re asking your users to complete two steps just to give you their email.
So, this is the easiest way to add MailChimp to your WordPress website – by putting it in the footer. I’ll even show you how to edit the code to remove the white background if you have a footer with a background color.
How to Embed MailChimp Opt-In In WordPress
I promise it’s super easy. Here are the steps:
- Make sure that your WordPress website footer is formatted.
- Go to the Widgets area in your WordPress website and add a ‘Text’ widget to your footer.
- Go to MailChimp and grab your code.
The best way to see how to do this one is to watch the video, so hit play above. (And please forgive the fact that my toddler doesn’t seem to care at all that I’m trying to record a video! I promise she doesn’t get in the way though.)
Best of luck! Xx, Kara
